CMAP Collaboration with COMSATS University and CIMPA School

CMAP has jointly collaborated with COMSATS University (CUI), and CIMPA School is financially sponsored and supported by prestigious international mathematical bodies, including:

· CIMPA (Centre International de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées)

· International Mathematical Union (IMU)

· European Mathematical Society (EMS)

The sponsored funding will bear the complete travel and accommodation expenses of six (06) international speakers from Australia, France, Spain, and Turkey. These scholars will deliver advanced lecture courses and research-oriented talks in optimization, convex analysis, numerical optimization, monotone operator theory, integer programming, and optimal control theory. As per the finalized academic schedule, the activities of the CIMPA School will be hosted at University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore on the following dates: February 07, 08, 09, 10, and 11, 2026

The event will host approximately 20 international participants from China, Indonesia, Turkey, Malaysia, Egypt, Iran, Thailand, and Nigeria, reflecting its strong global academic outreach.

In addition, a large number of local participants from across Pakistan will attend the CIMPA School, representing leading universities and institutions, including:

· Lahore University of Management Sciences, LUMS, Lahore

· Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences, (ASSMS), Lahore

· Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad

· National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad

· International Islamic University (IIU), Islamabad

· Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi

· National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES), Karachi Campus

· University of Karachi (IU Karachi)

· COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Vehari Campus

· Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan

· University of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

During these days at UMT, advanced lecture courses and academic sessions will be conducted by renowned international experts in the fields of optimization, convex analysis, numerical optimization, monotone operator theory, integer programming, and optimal control theory. The school aims to strengthen advanced mathematical training, promote international collaboration, and enhance research capacity among BS, MS, PhD students, and young faculty members.
