"Assalaamu Alaikum and Good Afternoon! Alhamdulillah. We are humbly grateful to the Almighty for allowing us to successfully hold the 1st UMT International Conference in pure and applied Science (1st UICPAS 2016)
For the past three days, UMT has been enlivened by the presence of scholars and researchers form different parts of the country, as well as different parts of the world. We have had the opportunity to share research works, listen to scholarly discussions, to form professional contacts, and, perhaps, bonds of friendship.
On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to thank the HEC and UMT for providing the funds and all necessary facilities. We are particularly obliged to the Worthy Rector for his full support. We are grateful to the UMT Administration for helping us with all the arrangements.
And, of course, I want to express our sincere thanks to each and every speaker and participant of this conference, particularly, to those who have joined us from outside Lahore. On behalf of the entire UMT community, I would also like to extend special thanks to our overseas guests for traveling so far from home to join us. In a program like this there are bound to be occasional glitches, and we are grateful to all the participants for their patience and cooperation.
Finally, I would like to express my appreciation to the members of the organizing committee who have been working hard for the past few weeks for this conference. The success of the 1st UICPAS 2016 is the joint achievement of everyone here.
Like sports, the pursuit of knowledge can serve to promote an environment of mutual respect and cooperation among different nations, which is necessary for the progress of the entire mankind. Therefore, we hope that Allahpak will continue to grant us such opportunities in the future to come together from different parts of the world, thus contributing to the universal goal of peace and prosperity.
